Spinning Process
The spinning process is the foundational stage in manufacturing sewing thread, where raw polyester fibers are transformed into continuous yarn. It begins with opening and cleaning the fibers, followed by carding to align them into a thin web called a sliver. Through the drawing and roving stages, the sliver is thinned and lightly twisted for strength. Finally, Ring Spinning or Open-End Spinning frames apply high-speed rotation, further drawing out the fibers and twisting them into a fine, strong single strand. This single yarn provides the necessary tensile strength and uniformity required before it is doubled into a 2-ply construction
Dyeing Process
The dyeing process for sewing thread is a precision-driven stage that ensures vibrant, uniform color and high colorfastness. It typically utilizes Package Dyeing, where 2-ply polyester yarn is wound onto perforated plastic or stainless steel springs. These packages are loaded into High-Pressure, High-Temperature (HTHP) vessels. The dye liquor is then forcefully circulated through the yarn packages, alternating between inside-out and outside-in flow to guarantee even penetration. After achieving the desired shade, the thread undergoes fixation and neutralization, followed by rigorous washing to remove unfixed dyes. Finally, the dyed cones are dried using radio-frequency or hot-air dryers before final winding.
Winding Process
The winding process is a critical final stage in sewing thread manufacturing, where yarn is transferred from spinning bobbins onto functional, high-capacity industrial cones or cheeses. This process ensures the thread is ready for high-speed garment production without tangling. Key steps include unwinding from the supply source and passing the yarn through electronic clearers to remove defects like knots or slubs. A traversing mechanism creates a specific criss-cross pattern, which provides structural stability to the package. Simultaneously, a lubricant (often silicone wax) is applied to the thread to reduce friction and prevent needle heat during sewing.

The sales process for manufactured thread involves market analysis to assess garment factories' and textile wholesalers' needs, presenting technical samples for quality approval, and negotiating bulk orders while finalizing logistics. Modern methods include digital platforms for tracking inventory and order placement. The cycle ends with distribution and after-sales support, ensuring compliance with client production standards and building long-term supply partnerships.
